23/12/2002 (Agence Europe) - Following an agreement reached between the EU and Switzerland on the free movement of persons, the Member States have decided to no longer request a visa from its nationals - they must currently obtain a visa for stays of over three months duration. On the other hand, as from April 1, 2003, nationals from Ecuador will have to request a visa to go to an EU Member State, whatever the length of their stay. Up until now nationals from Ecuador were exempted from this obligation for stays of less than three months.
