19/12/2002 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday the German Minister of Finance announced that Germany intended to inform its European partners that it would be able to balance its budget by 2006 on the condition that there was average economic growth of 2.25% over the period 2004-2006. The Minister explained that these forecasts, adopted in the morning by the government, figure in the final version of the Stability Programme that Berlin will be submitting to the EU.
