Brussels, 16/12/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Commission has approved the acquisition by Norwegian company Bravida of the electrical, ventilation and other technical installation businesses of Danish company Obel A/S. Bravida will acquire Semco Danmark A/S (Denmark), Totalinstallatören EVV AB (Sweden), Prenad AB (Sweden) and Backlunds Elservice AB (Sweden) from Obel A/S (Denmark). Bravida is the parent company of a number of firms active in Norway, Sweden and Denmark. It provides technical installation services within electrical, ventilation, water and sanitation, telecommunication and data networks and information and communication technology. The Commission noted overlaps in both Denmark and Sweden, but ruled out the risk of a dominant position being created since the total market share will be less than 15% in Denmark and no competition problems in Sweden, where there is a higher total market share.
