Generic medicine manufacturers recommend five measures to promote access to medicines in poor countries

Brussels, 10/12/2002 (Agence Europe) - In a press release of 9 December, the European Generic Medicines Association (EGA) presses in favour of five measures that would allow improved access to medicines for the less developed countries: (1) adoption of the European Commission proposal aimed at establishing a mechanism preventing re-imports into the EU of low-price medicines intended for the poor countries; (2) approval of the European Parliament's amendment to revision of the European...
