03/12/2002 (Agence Europe) - In an interview published in Der Spiegel, the French Minister of Defence, Michèle Alliot-Marie confirmed that France and Germany would be announcing security and defence initiatives during the anniversary of the Treaty of Elysée in January 2003. She claims that a defence-based Europe will not take as much time to set up as monetary union.
