Before presenting new proposals, the Commission launches a wide consultation on animal protection during transport - Comparison with standards in third countries

Brussels, 18/11/2002 (Agence Europe) - Before presenting new proposals revising current legislation on animal protection during transport, the European Commission's DG for Health and Consumer Protection has launched a wide consultation on this subject.

A seminar for representatives of NGOs, producers and consumer organisations will be held in Brussels on 20 November, chaired by the Deputy Director General of DG Health and Consumer Protection, Jaana Husu-Kallio. This meeting will be followed...
