15/11/2002 (Agence Europe) - In a speech before the united chambers of the Italian Parliament, on 14 November, Pope John-Paul II said, regarding the European Convention: "I have faith that, thanks also to Italy, the new foundations of the common European house will not lack the cement of the extraordinary religious and cultural heritage and civilisation that was Europe's grandeur for centuries".
