Liberalisation of gas and electricity markets once more at centre of 4 October Energy Council

Brussels, 02/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Energy Council, being held in Luxembourg on 4 October, will once more be dominated by the liberalisation of the gas and electricity markets and access to the network for cross-border trade. This issue will be the subject of a political debate with the goal of reaching a political agreement at the 24 November Transport Council.
