Investigation into subsidy for Clydeboyd

Brussels, 02/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Commission has decided to open formal investigation procedure on investment subsidies in favour of Clydebord Ltd from the United Kingdom. In the context of the Freight Facilities Grant Scheme, the aid intends to encourage modal shift from road to water transport by providing a larger berth and enhanced freight handling facilities at Corparch (Scotland).
