27/09/2002 (Agence Europe) - Early this week, the Council adopted by qualified majority its common position with a view to adopting the EP and Council regulation on the labour cost index. The objective of this regulation is to establish a common framework for the production, transmission and evaluation of comparable labour cost indices in the Community. The German and the Austrian delegations entered unilateral statements in the Council minutes.
