19/09/2002 (Agence Europe) - British Conservative, Edward McMillan, MEP, will be organising on 26-27 September a conference in Strasbourg on "Faith in Democracy" for his colleagues from the EPP-ED group at the European Parliament and the Assembly of the Council of Europe. Mr McMillan-Scott who had launched the "Democracy and Human Rights" initiative, indicated in a press statement that the conference would be particularly looking at the "role of Islam within Europe and the influence can bring to bear on countries of Islamic tradition".
