Americans call for closer cooperation from the Union to meet food shortages and help refugees - Opinions differ

Brussels, 12/09/2002 (Agence Europe) - The United States and the European Union must strengthen their cooperation and coordination of aid they provide to Afghanistan to meet urgent food needs and to provide assistance to refugees as winter draws nearer. This is the message sent by Richard L. Greene of the US Department of State (Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Bureau of Populations, Refugees and Migration) to his European interlocutors during his visit to the European Commission...
