Coreper welcomes Commission strategy to assist regions affected by flooding - Germany and Austria revise estimation of damage upward

Brussels, 29/08/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Committee of Permanent Representatives of Member States with the EU (Coreper welcomed, on Thursday, the strategy sketched out by the European Commission (in its communication on Wednesday, see yesterday's EUROPE, p.6) to assist regions of Central Europe affected by bad weather and flooding this summer.
