Brussels, 20/08/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has cleared the acquisition of Demag Mobile Cranes GmbH & Co KG, a German-based subsidiary of Siemens AG, which makes mobile cranes, by the US-based construction equipment manufacturer Terex Corporation. The Commission has concluded that the deal does not pose any competition problems in Europe where Terex will face competition from big rivals such as Liebherr, as well as smaller players.
