Brussels, 31/07/2002 (Agence Europe) - On Monday Denmark informed the European Commission that it had suspended its poultry exports after having discovered cases of "Newcastle" disease in Jutland in the west of the country. 100,000 fowl, chickens, ducks and turkeys have been slaughtered over the last few days in order to stop the spread of this virus and protect poultry export markets.
