ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) banking

CDC IXIS, which brings together the activities of wholesale banks CDC and L'ECUREUIL, will sell by the end of 2002, its 51% stake in CDC LABOUCHERE, a joint subsidiary between CDC IXIS and BANK LABOUCHERE, specialised in the assets custody market in the Netherlands (EUR bn in custody till end of 2001). CDC LABOUCHERE will become DEXIA SECURITIES SERVICES.
