Friends of the Earth calls on EU "to move ahead without the US if necessary"

Brussels, 26/07/2002 (Agence Europe) - One month ahead of the Johannesburg Sustainable Development Summit, Friends of the Earth Europe and Friends of the Earth International are calling on governments to "salvage this crucial United Nations conference", warning in a press release that so far, no positive action has been agreed and governments risk falling behind the commitments made in Rio in 1992.
