22/07/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Council of the European Union has adopted a common position on the directive on insider dealing and market abuse, incorporating most of the European Parliament's amendments in first reading. Political agreement was reached at the ECOFIN Council in May (see Europe of 3 May, p.8).
