US company NORTHROP GRUMMAN has finally bought up its counterpart TRW for around $7.8 bn, making it the second biggest company in the sector. According to the deal, NORTHROP will pay 60 dollars a share and take on board TRW's debt. The merged company will have an annual turnover of $26 and 27 bn and employ 123,000 people. See IE on 27 June.
