Brussels, 28/06/2002 (Agence Europe) - Moroccan Prime Minister Abderrahmane Youssoufi met Commissioners Chris Patten and Antonio Vitorino in Brussels on Thursday (EUROPE will return to this) as well as High Representative Javier Solana with whom he raised in particular the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. At the end of talks, Youssoufi and Solana stressed the similarity in their point of views and reacted positively to the recent speech by President Bush, notably regarding the right of Palestinians to a State, but Mr. Youssoufi considered that the question of the Palestinin leadership was "an affair of the Palestinians themselves", and drew attention to the consequences of possible military attacks against countries of the region (allusion to Iraq).
