ECHO pulls out of Montenegro

Brussels, 24/06/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Commission's Humanitarian Aid Office (ECHO), has ended its humanitarian operations in Montenegro after ten years of activity. "Humanitarian emergency is now over in Montenegro. Thanks to the aid provided by the Office, displaced populations and refugees, as well as the local populations, were able to take on extremely serious situations", declared Commissioner Poul Nielson.
