Yes to joint acquisitions in cinema screen advertising

Brussels, 24/06/2002 (Agence Europe) - On 24 June the European Commission authorised the acquisition of joint control by the UK company Carlton Communications PLC and the French company Thomson Multimedia SA over RMBI, RMBC and Circuit A, all of which are subsidiaries of the French UGC cinema group and provide cinema screen advertising services. The Commission has concluded that there would remain sufficient competition in the market concerned.
