Luxembourg, 20/06/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Court of Justice has annulled the Commission's decision of 17 August 2000 to initiate a formal investigation procedure aimed at examining whether State aid granted by the Junta of Andalucia to the Spanish firm Santana Motor was compatible with European law. A procedural ruling which, with only 200,000 pesetas at stake, alters nothing to the situation in that the Commission had looked favourably upon this aid. This ruling essentially concerns the method for calculating the time limit.
