GENERAL NEWS / (eu) ep/tribunal for law of the sea

13/06/2002 (Agence Europe) - Former MEP and French Development Cooperation Minister Jean-Pierre Cot was elected judge at the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea (composed of 21 UN judges meeting twice a year). Mr Cot was MEP from 1984 to 1999, and President of the Socialist Group from 1989 to 1994.
