Netherlands' appeal on State aid to service stations is rejected

Luxembourg, 13/06/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Court of Justice has rejected the case put forward by the Netherlands calling for cancellation of the Commission's decision which declares part of the aid in favour of 633 Dutch service stations illegal, announces a Court press release. The Dutch mechanism for paying aid to petrol stations comprised a risk of combined aid and indirectly granted an advantage to oil companies, said the release.
