Germany's report on the nitrofen affair satisfies Standing Food Chain Committee

Brussels, 11/06/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Standing Committee of the Food Chain met on Tuesday to hear Germany's explanations on the Nitrofen contamination of cereals, and has decided not to take any additional safety measures. It considered that the detailed report by the German representative did not at this stage justify any new initiatives (see EUROPE yesterday page 11 and 7 June page 12).
