The Belgian company ELECTRABEL (French group SUEZ) is to acquire almost 11.4% of the capital of COMPAGNIE NATIONALE DU RHONE (turnover EUR 353.5 million in 2001). The agreement should be finalised in October after receiving the approval of the management board of the French electricity company. The parties are said to have already come to an agreement on the departure price of around EUR 61 million.
