24/05/2002 (Agence Europe) - Since 1993, the EU has awarded prizes to reward exceptional projects financed by its own funds for the twinning of towns. The "Golden Stars of Twinning" were awarded this year at the 8th European conference of twinned municipalities of the Council of the Communes and regions of Europe", held in Antwerp from 22 to 24 May.
