17/05/2002 (Agence Europe) - Adopting the report by Colette Flesch (ELDR, Luxembourg) in first reading on 14 May on the draft review of guidelines on trans-European transport networks, the European Parliament approved the new guidelines put forward by the Commission feeling they would avoid a policy of "sprinkling" funding on programmes in the future. All the amendments tabled by Ms Flesch were accepted - minor amendments aiming to clarify the Commission's text.
