06/05/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Anti-Poverty Network (EAPN) is organising a seminar on employment in Düsseldorf on 14/15 June, directed above all at the Employment Committee's current review of the European Employment Strategy, with the key message of how the battle against exclusion bears on all the European employment strategies. In a press release, the EAPN argues that keeping people in the job market involves "the availability of training and jobs appropriate to the individual needs of people long disengaged from the labour market experience; leading on to stable, quality jobs. This is a job for the employment services, local authorities, NGOs and business working together in real partnership". (Info: EAPN in Brussels, Tel 02 230 44 55 website http://www.eapn.org )
