26/04/2002 (Agence Europe) - According to Ansa, the President of the Region of Lombardy, Roberto Formigoni told Valery Giscard d'Estaing that subsidiary had to be the "fundamental pillar" of a future European Constitution, when they met in Brussels. Mr. Formigoni spoke in favour of a Europe that would deal with "few matters, but major and decisive", and hoped that "all regions would be granted the same powers as Italy is currently granting its own".
