Spain confirms its candidature for ITER

Brussels, 26/04/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Spanish government confirmed Spain's candidature for receiving the new nuclear fusion reactor (ITER). This proposal will involve the site of the former Vandellos reactor in Tarragona (Catalonia). This nuclear centre, which experienced a fire in 1989, is closed but another reactor Vandellos II is working.
