22/04/2002 (Agence Europe) - According to the latest Eurobarometer, 75% of Danes and the 61% of the British population see the euro as a major event in the history of the European Union. 88% of the Danes, 70% of Swede and 72% of the British population think that their countries will join the euro one day. 56% of Swedes say they would be "very" or "rather" pleased if Sweden adopted the euro (compared with 33% who would be unhappy). The figures for Denmark are 50% (compared with 38% unhappy)...
