Parliament calls on Commission to promote cheap and simple-to-use screening systems to effectively guarantee parental control

Brussels, 16/04/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament has adopted the report of British Conservative, Christopher Beazley, on the protection of minors and human dignity in the face of the audio-visual industry (see EUROPE 28 March page 17). In the report, Parliament calls on the Commission to promote cheap and simple-to-use screening systems that would enable parents to efficiently control Internet and audio-visual use.
