Brussels, 03/04/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Financial Times says that the decision by the leader of the UK's Trades Union Congress (TUC), John Monks, to seek the general secretaryship of the European Trade Union Confederation (taking over from Emilio Gabaglio) could change the image of British trade unionism. The FT says that the TUC has put its best people into the international labour bodies around the world, listing other prominent British trade union leaders.
