03/04/2002 (Agence Europe) - In a press release CSU MEP Ingo Friedrich has slammed the entry into force of a new Dutch law on euthanasia at the beginning of April, saying that direct assistance in someone's death was authorisation to kill and a sign of disdain for human dignity. The Bavarian says that instead, dying people should be given more aid and their families more assistance. Euthanasia in Germany can be punished under the law.
