Brussels, 28/03/2002 (Agence Europe) - Neil MacCormick, MEP for the Scottish National Party (part of the Green/ALE group), and who is a deputy at the Convention on the Future of Europe, will be participating on 31 March-2 April in demonstrations organised by the Basque Country and Catalunya, thus beginning a tour of European stateless nations and regions. "We members of the Convention have therefore a special duty to get out and consult the people we represent. That means for me the European Free Alliance, with associated parties represented in the European Parliament from Andalucia, Galicia, Euskadi and Catalunya, as well as Flanders and Wales and my own Scotland", asserted Mr MacCormick in a press statement. The MEP announced that he also wanted to speak, "to all the allied parties and to other ones that haven't yet managed to break through into the European Parliament, emphasising that, "the message I am receiving everywhere is about subsidiarity and the right to representation".
