31/01/2002 (Agence Europe) - According to the press agency EFE, the EU and the United States launched negotiations on Thursday at the Spanish Embassy in Paris concerning the sharing of information on savings tax matters. The Spanish Industry Minister, Mr Rodriguez Ponga met with Mr Vanden Abeele (Director-General at the European Commission, working on taxation) and the tax policy chief at the US Treasury Department, Ms Angus.
