Lisbon, 14/01/2002 (Agence Europe) - During a meeting in Lisbon between the Presidents of the Council of the European Union and the OSCE (Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe), Spanish Foreign Affairs Minister, Josep Piqué and his Portuguese counterpart, Jaime Gama, announced that for the first time, a Ministerial meeting of the EU Troika and the Acting President of the Council of the OSCE would take place in Brussels on 29 January. A joint press release by the Presidencies of the EU and OSCE stressed the desire to: develop a close EU/OSCE collaboration at a regional level in the international war against terrorism, as well as in joint management crisis efforts.
Mr Piqué welcome the fact that the Economic-Environmental Forum of the OSCE would be holding a conference in Prague on 28- 31 May on water quality co-operation.
