Brussels, 09/01/2002 (Agence Europe) - Eurydice, the education information network in Europe has published three new studies:
1. ICT@Europe.edu Information and Communication Technology in European Education Systems (Survey series). This study was carried out by Eurydice and brings several new areas on information and communication technology (ICT) application in education to light. The book covers all the different levels of education, including initial and in-service teacher training. The study was carried out in 30 countries (15 EU countries, 3 from EFTA and 12 candidate countries). 2. Financial Flows in Compulsory Education published in the Eurydice Focus series, this analysis analyses the modes of financing in 30 of the countries that participate in the Eurydice network and provides a number of diagrams on financial flows of resources to educational establishments. 3. Basic Indicators o the Incorporation of ICT into European Education Systems - Facts and Figures annual report 200/2001: this report concentrates primarily on primary and secondary education and provides information on how much time education devotes to information and communication technology, as well as the training and approaches put forward by teachers in the field. These indicators are provided by the Eurobarometer study, which was managed by the European Commission. It brings a qualitative insight into the equipment and its use in the different education establishments.
