17/12/2001 (Agence Europe) - Klaus-Peter Klaiber, the EU Special Envoy to Afghanistan left for Kabul on Monday. In an interview with the Financial Times, the German diplomat said that, "I have no alternative but to be cautiously optimistic. But the task in Afghanistan will be much harder than any crisis-management missions taken on by the international community before, I know."
