Call to free Leyla Zana and Aung San Suu Kyi

Strasbourg, 17/12/2001 (Agence Europe) - In a resolution adopted in an emergency debate last Thursday in Strasbourg, the European Parliament again called for the freeing of two Sakharov prize winners, Leyla Zana (1995) and Aung San Suu Kyi (1990), as well as all other political prisoners in Turkey and Birma.
