14/12/2001 (Agence Europe) - The Commission has authorised the Swiss non-life insurance company, Winterthur, to take over Prudential Assurance Company, which pools the car, housing, and civil liability for individuals activities of the British group Prudential Plc. This operation, at a cost of £353 million, raises no special problems of competition.
