14/12/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Affairs Minister of the Land of Bavaria, Reinhold Bocklet, noted in a press release on the Stoiber government's debates at the Laeken Summit that the EU's regional policy should be replaced with a Solidarity Fund solely for the most disadvantaged countries, while relatively more advantages countries would themselves hold responsibility for helping their most structurally disadvantaged regions. Mr Bocklet also called for a return to immigration policy being the sole responsibility of Member States and called for more Europe in the field of fighting crime, foreign policy, security and defence.
