Council backs prolongation of public insurance cover for airline companies - other results

Brussels, 07/12/2001 (Agence Europe) - Having devoted most of the morning's work to the difficult discussion on Galileo (see below), the Transport Council, meeting on Friday under the Chair of Isabelle Durant, turned over lunch to the situation of airline companies following the 11 September attacks. As did the EcoFin Council of 4 December, ministers supported the prolongation until 31 March of the scheme enabling Member States to cover premiums for risk of war and terrorism of their airline...
