Brussels, 03/12/2001 (Agence Europe) - In a press release, published in London, , the low-price Irish airline company Ryanair announced that it had lodged a complaint with the European competition services against the German company Lufthansa, accusing it of "foul play". Lufthansa indeed secured the right of the German authorities on Tuesday to prevent Ryanair using comparative advertising for company prices for flights between the airport of Frankfurt-Hahn and Glasgow-Prestwick, in the United Kingdom. "We shall ask Mr. Monti to intervene so that it is the German consumers and those wanting to o to Germany to decide who offers air transport at the best price, and not German courts or Lufthansa," declared Ryanair Director General, Michael O'Leary.
