Brussels, 20/11/2001 (Agence Europe) - The German Green member elected in France, Daniel Cohn-Bendit, is to soon take over from the Belgian co-president, Paul Lannoye, who has not put forward his candidature. The two-headed leadership of the Greens and European Free Alliance Group will be completed, on 28 November, by an election of the co-president to succeed Finnish-born Heidi Hautala, who will not be running again either. British national Jane Lambert may be elected on this occasion after the likely withdrawal of the candidature of Kathalijne Buitenweg, from the Netherlands. Nelly Maes, Flemish regionalist, will continue to hold the vice-presidency attributed to the European Free Alliance.
