EU deplores the murder of Theys Eluay

Brussels, 13/11/2001 (Agence Europe) - The Belgian Presidency issued the following declaration on behalf of the European Union: "The European Union expresses its deep concern following the kidnapping and subsequent murder of Mr Theys Eluay, Chairman of the Papuan Presidium Council, in Muara Tami on November 11th. It urges the Indonesian Authorities to clarify the circumstances of the murder and to bring its perpetrators to justice as soon as possible. The European Union sincerely hopes that...
