ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) equipment

The Franco-American firm SCHLUMBERGER, world leader in the oil-related equipment sector, has sold all its activities in the manufacture of meters and associate services (except in North America) to its employees and the investment fund LBO France. The new company will be called ACTARIS. SCHLUMBERGER's "metering" activity has 8,200 staff in the world with a turnover of $750 million in 2000.
