Council ratifies agreement secured in conciliation over money laundering - Parliamentary delegation should do so on Wednesday

Luxembourg, 16/10/2001 (Agence Europe) - In Luxembourg on Tuesday, the EcoFin Council marked its agreement to the compromise reached with the European Parliament on 10 October over money laundering (see EUROPE of 12 October, p.9). It is "highly likely" that the delegation of the European Parliament to the conciliation committee will do likewise Wednesday evening, Parliament's rapporteur, Klaus Heiner Lehne, invited by the Belgian Presidency to take part in its press conference on the fringe...
